Bring on the Back-Ups: Kid Flash faces the "Phantom of the Cafeteria!"

Remember when Wally West was "just" Kid Flash? Then you'll probably dig this little gem, written by the forever-far-out Steve Skeates with awesome art by Dick Dillin and Dick Giordano. From Flash #207 (March 1971), here's "Phantom of the Cafeteria!"

  1. I always liked the Flash rings and how their costumes popped out.

  2. Me too, Drake! As a kid, the costume popping out of the rings was even cooler than the super-speed stuff.

  3. Brother Groove, thanks for this site! (or blog, or whatever) many memories bouncing around! if you can steer me in the direction of the (probably Batman or 'Tec) backup of "The Man Without Fingerprints!" (or something like that), i'd be gratefully groovy! I can't seem to run across it anywhere.

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!
